“I am from Honduras and came to San Francisco two years ago with my husband and two sons. Because of the gangs and violence, we were afraid for our lives — it is very dangerous. That is why we came here.
Soon after we arrived, I got pregnant, and it was a girl. I was so happy! A friend told me about the (Help a Mother Out) diaper program through Wu Yee Children's Services. It helps me a lot because I don't have to spend money on diapers for my daughter.
Abby's favorite thing to do, and something that I also enjoy, is going to the park. She likes to run around on the grassy area and chase the pigeons. There are a lot of doggies too, and she likes to run around with them. I would like Abby to graduate from college. I hope and dream my older sons will also graduate.”
